Ann Shadrake, YDS Administrator, attended the BNI (Business Network International) workshop held at the Weetwood Hotel, Leeds, today (Thursday 9 February). Ann was the guest of Dr Tony Smith, YDS Council Member, who recommended the event as a way to gain ideas about attracting more business members to join YDS. Over 100 BNI members and guests attended the event to hear Ewan Sturman offer his unique insights into gaining business referrals. Several delegates offered very useful suggestions on how to promote the Society to businesses, and offered to act as ?referral? contacts to spread the word about the Society?s crucial work into the West Yorkshire?business community.?
